1. Who we are

Anchor Watcher is a mobile app operated by a sole proprietor based in France. The app helps boating users monitor their position relative to a set anchor and receive alarms when drifting.

2. Data we collect

Anchor Watcher does not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or account information. The app processes the following information on your device:

• Device location data: latitude, longitude, timestamp, accuracy, altitude, heading, speed, floor, and whether the location is mocked.
• App settings stored locally: anchor position, geofence/shape, map state (center/zoom), selected map provider, alarm state, accuracy thresholds, and acceptance of the monitoring disclaimer.
• Permissions state: whether location and notifications are enabled.
• In‑app purchase status: limited to events and receipts provided by Apple App Store or Google Play (Anchor Watcher does not process or store payment card details).

3. How we collect this data

• From your device’s location sensors, including in the background if you enable monitoring.
• By storing app settings in a local database on your device (no remote server is used).
• By loading map tiles over the internet from your chosen map provider.
• From in‑app purchase APIs of Apple and Google.

4. Why we process this data

• Monitor your position relative to your anchor and trigger alarms if needed.
• Save your preferences (map view, anchor location, alarm settings).
• Enable optional in‑app donations.

5. Third‑party services

Anchor Watcher does not use analytics, marketing, or crash‑reporting services. We interact with the following third parties to deliver app functionality:

• Map tile providers: OpenStreetMap, OpenSeaMap, and Satellite imagery providers. When map tiles load, these services receive your IP address and standard request metadata.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: process in‑app purchases. Anchor Watcher does not receive payment card information.

6. Data storage and retention

All app‑related data is stored locally on your device. We do not store it on our servers. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing its data via your device settings.

7. Your rights

If you are in the European Union or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and request portability of your data. Because Anchor Watcher does not store your data on external servers, most requests can be fulfilled directly by you through app or device settings.
